    Delaminating Waterproofing Membrane

    Recently completed waterproofing to a concrete roof was inspected by TCA to confirm quality of workmansip and compliance with codes and standards.

    TCA identified the source of leak was delaminating waterproofing membrane at rooftop which was non UV stable. Pin holes and cracks were evident throughout the membrane.

    We use the latest equipment to water test waterproof membrane including thermal imaging ang and ultrasonic.

    Window Sill Flashing

    Our team is regularly called upon to inspect project under construction to mitigate construction defects. This property was under-construction, being a residential building at Glebe, Sydney. TCA identified the window sill flashing was not laid into the brickwork as required by AS4773.2. Q

    Failed Waterproofing Membrane

    A unit owner was living with horrible mould and TCA was engaged to inspect and provide a remediation design for the cause.

    The water ingress from the bathroom of the unit directly above had led to excessive mould in the ceiling and walls of the bathroom below. Following mould treatment of the affected unit, TCA undertook flood testing of the remediated bathroom in the unit above to confirm that there were no further water ingress leaks to the unit below.

    Poor construction detailing

    The Owners Corporation had extensive mould to the balcony ceilings and the source could not be identified. TCA was called in to identify the source of the mould and provide a remediation design and scope of works.

    Incorrect construction and waterproof detailing balcony units had led to water ingress and failure of the ceiling below. TCA undertook a detailed inspection and provided a detailed design solution with waterproofing specifications to address and remediate the balconies.

    Dry Basement Drainage System

    This homeowner wished to have a completely dry and habitable baseent in their luxury home in Vaucluse, Sydney.

    The waterproofing provided by the builder was not sufficient and water ingress was identified due to poorly applied membrane and missing subsoil drainage provisions in the basement area.

    TCA provided an industry leading design solution with products from the UK and provided the homeowner with a completely dry basement.

    Cavity Tray

    Often cavity masonry walls are constructed without the care needed to ensure the cavity is clean and free draining.

    In this instance, the cavity was filled with debris and TCA were engaged to provide a remediation scope of work for clearing out the cavity to ensure its operation for this new home.

    A large comples of townhoses had incorrectly installed waterproofing and flashing that led to the complete rotting of the timber walls frames.

    TCA was engaged to identify the cause, provide a remediation design and project manage the tender process and compete rectification of the issues.
